The Songs of Spring: A Special Concert of Chinese National Music

This concert has been in the spotlight since the announcement of the China Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2021-2022 season. It is featured with the collaboration between the China Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) and seven of the most pre-eminent performers of Chinese traditional music. Under the baton of Xia Xiaotang, Principal Conductor of the CPO, those artists will demonstrate to the audience the splendor and magnificence of Chinese traditional music with their superb performance techniques.
In China, the inclusion of Chinese traditional instruments in orchestra performances has been around for decades. And in recent years, the emergence of many outstanding concertos for Chinese traditional instruments created by new generation Chinese composers has given impetus to the advancement of this new art form, drawing more attention from domestic and abroad.

The China Philharmonic Orchestra has worked with many renowned artists of Chinese traditional music since its inception, and the performers in this concert are all familiar masters to music lovers. As the Chinese New Year is approaching, we hope this concert will be a great way to wish all music lovers the best of luck in the Year of Tiger!

乐咏新春——中国民乐专场音乐会

这是一场从中国爱乐乐团2021-2022音乐季公布时起就备受关注的音乐会。七位闪耀当今乐坛的民乐名家，将在这场音乐会上展现技艺，中国爱乐乐团将在常任指挥夏小汤的带领下，呈现中国民乐大气恢弘的一面。中国民族乐器与交响乐团的合作已有数十年的历史，近年来，许多新生代作曲家创作了不少优秀的民族乐器协奏曲，让这种艺术形式大放异彩。

中国爱乐乐团成立以来曾与许多民乐名家有过合作，本场音乐会上与乐团同台的也都是音乐爱好者们耳熟能详的名家大师，希望这场音乐会能在农历新年到来之际，为音乐爱好者们送上最美好的祝福。
