From the LP, "Surf Route 101". A studio group organized by Gary Usher and featuring super talented players such as Glen Campbell, Steve Douglas and Hal Blaine. "Surf Route 101" was their second album - the first being "Thunder Road" -- and had a fuller production sound. Capitol released the album with a free 45 to promote another album, in this case, "Surfink" by Mr. Gasser & The Weirdos.
Gary Usher is well known to surf music fans, having an extensive career which included song-writing ("409", "Don't Give In To Him" and many others) and producing (the Hondells, the Byrds, Chad & Jeremy, Sagittarius etc). Sadly he passed in 1990 at the all too young age of 51.
