This week in my online community we’re learning the chorus of a fun samba called ‘O Mar Serenou’ (The Sea Serenaded). In this case, it serenaded the woman/mermaid dancing at the edge of the water. I love how infused the Brazilian samba repertoire is with songs about the sea and the mystery and magic of the feminine.
These clips are from our practice. I break it all down in a short lesson for the community.
