Nefertiti, whose name means "the beautiful one has arrived," was the legendary queen of Akhenaten, and they ruled Egypt during the 18th dynasty (1550-1292 BC).
In this piece Nefertiti dreams of traveling through the natural, sacred and magical realms to the land where the Benu bird, sometimes kinown as the White Goddess, lives. Within the dream she sings and offers a song to the Benu bird she encounters.
Using magical instruments, she has the song played for the god Toth and it is imagined that her people came to know this music as "The Song of the White Goddess."
The CD of Ancient Egyptian music will be available on March 16th on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.
