My cover of a beautiful love song written by Willie Hutch, and sung to perfection by kid singing phenom Michael Jackson, while he was lead singer of the Jackson 5. The story's a familiar one: A couple argues. The guy says the wrong thing. The gal's about to walk, and in this case, the guy tries to sing his way out of the doghouse. I'm a huge fan of this song, so I had to at least TRY to cover it. I did the "talk-break" on a separate track, because I figured I might mess up the take if I tried to sing and talk in the same take. "Rap" as a form came a few years later, so I just kept it "conversational".
I used Cubase and Pianoteq to play the instrumental parts and sing the vocal parts.
