Description
Mule Train was recorded by my Grandfather in February of 1947. His manager Fred Glickman co-wrote the song with two other gentlemen. Buz (his stage name) wrote the lyrics "clipitty clop", on a napkin while having lunch with his manager. Merle Travis played guitar, and Ralph Cornish on accordion. The song was recorded in 52 languages and heard around the world before being re-recorded by Frankie Laine, Vaughn Monroe, Bing Crosby and Tennessee Ernie in 1949.
