Description
2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the Mongolian People's Revolution. This is one of three popular songs of the Revolution, along with "The Red Banner" and "Banner of Revolution", which I have uploaded previously. It sings of the events of the Battle of Fort Kyakhta, the most important battle of the Revolution against Beiyang forces which led to a decisive victory for the Mongolian revolutionaries. The taking of the fortress and the four machine guns used in the battle became symbolic of the Revolution and a monument of a machine gun to mark the battle remains in Kyakhta to this day.
